I have found that it's just moronic I mean they never stop the bullying but I be damned if your allowed to stand up for yourself.

Another part of it is anything that can be used as a weapon is a weapon is a weapon in the eyes of the schools. Yet if you really wanna think of about it if you take eveything that can be used as a weapons you have no chairs nore desks or anything to write with.

what i wanted to do is ask what everyone thoughts are on the subject.

Its sad when 5 year olds get expelled from school for bringing a plastic knife to lunch to cut their apple. Its even sadder (is sadder a word?) when the same school carries plastic knives in the lunch room already.

It has gotten out of hand, and has become very retarded. I am glad to be done with high school and away from the silly retarded public schools for the rest of my life.

yeah whats also pretty bad is when you have a teacher who tells you that people have gotten kicked out of class for farting. and if you do it again you will be kicked out.

for once me and dark dragom agree.

one time at my school this kid punched this guy in the back of the head and the other guy defended himself(he didnt take it too far) but they both got expelled. in the school policies it says ur just supose to walk away or talk it out or call for help but if ur in the bathroom and someone walks in a starts a fight, its not like they're gonna let u leave and telling them "hey that hurts plz stop that now, comon man plz stop lets talkthis out" isn't really going to help, and if theres no treachers in sight then ur SOL. i deffenately think "zero tolerance" is becoimg zero intellengence

Yeah I have to agree with the the majority here, defending yourself shouldn't get you expelled, maybe suspended, but not expelled.

Public School is fine there are just some idiots there that bring it down. I go to public school and I like it. I have a lot of friends and can do plenty of sports there. But there are some schools I would stay away from.

one of the security guards at my school is a football coach. one day one of teh football players got mad at me cause i made a joke about people using steriods. he waited for me after school like he said he was going to. so when i walked out i patted his sholudar and said hello. next thing i know hes pushing me and crap. rite in front of teh security guard. the guy does NOTHING! i wanted to push back but i knew if i do taht id get in trouble and suspended so i just took it. thats bullshit rite there. he needed to step in and get teh kid to stop. i wasnt pushing back i said i was srry i didnt mean to offend him but he kept right at it. people need to stop being biasis this is why public schools are out of hand.

i go to a private school. they have much stricter rules about assault and such...so people generally don't **** around.

but there's always the dumbass who wants to start a fight. nothing like that has happened yet, so i don't know what the general response is from the staff in these occasions.

i think i should be able to defend myself from an assailant. if they're punching the crap out of me i want to be able to at least punch them in their diaphragm and make a quick getaway, call the dean and have him deal with it. if they expel me for self defense, THEN i'm going to get pissed.

in response to i pwnd you's comment, a lot of football players seem to be self-confident and full of hubris....i got pushed around by a football player during my second period for no reason at all.

maybe because i'm smaller than him...guess it'll be a mystery.

i try to stay under the radar most of the time, and i'm not looking to get expelled but if someone walks up to me starts punching me in the face i'm gonna sit there and call a teacher, or say "hey thats bothering me, could u plz stop it, comon man thats bothering me plz stop", besides if i got expelled from my school its not like i'm missing much, cept dumbass jocks, dumbass preps, and dumbass rednecks(hmmm....... starting to a pattern here. one the down sides to living in southern ILL i guess)

But realize that as a student, you don't have to take a lot of shit that's dished out to you. One thing I did my senior year in HS was that I stopped asking to go take a piss. I simply told the teacher that I was heading to the bathroom and I'd be back. One teacher made a fuss about it but was promptly shutup after a discussion with the principal (I explained that if I was sitting there and was denied the ability to go to the bathroom, that it would impact my concentration on my work {which honestly, it would}).

ive gotten 7 referrals this semester and i dont care lol oo i sniffed crystal lite, oo i brought a laser pointer, oo i was "rude" to substitutes, oo i was late 10 times to a class... i cant think of the othersl ol
